What's In Our New Scents: The Breakdown

Keeping your beard on point requires some work … we all know it. But here’s a secret: fact is, the ingredients that consume your go-to beard products make up all the difference in your mane’s growth. We recently introduced our latest rundown of scents available in both Beard Oil and Beard Balm options (Citrunite, Islander, Black Rock and Wild Mint). But now’s the time to break down said beard products and understand how they benefit you.

Read up on all the beneficial ingredients that make up your beard essentials below. And in due time you’ll be doing a length check and having us to thank for it.

Coconut Oil:

Normally we’d say “Don’t believe the hype,” but when it comes to this all-natural product, the benefits of coconut oil are endless outside the kitchen. Rich in fatty acids, coconut oil helps to maintain moisture while preventing protein loss from combing damage (so don’t skip using your Dual Beard Comb!). Even more, when using your Beard Oil or Balm, its coconut oil component nourishes the skin beneath your beard, helping to keep your skin’s barrier function A-1.

Jojoba Oil:

Known for its natural moisturizing properties, jojoba oil is an exotic extract for smoother skin and hair. This organic essential oil is rich in vitamins and minerals that work double time to feed your hair follicles while keeping you hydrated. And if you fall victim to oily skin (don’t worry, you’re not alone), jojoba oil controls the excess grease by replenishing moisture for a fresh and clean look.

Grapeseed Oil:

If there’s one thing we want you to take away from the benefits of grapeseed oil, it’s how it does wonders for your skin. Packed with essential fatty acids, vitamin E and more, grapeseed oil assists in improving skin tone, clearing clogged pores and fighting acne breakouts. After all, if your skin’s not on point, are you even ready for the day?

Hemp Seed Oil:

Often referred to as ‘hemp oil’, hemp seed oil is made from the hemp seed itself, and is perfect for most skin types. After being absorbed, this essential oil helps to moderate oily skin and calm inflammation to keep you from experiencing that irritated feel throughout the day. In addition, its anti-aging properties assist in reducing lines and wrinkles for a smoother and more youthful glow.

Shea Butter:

Shea butter is the fat extracted from the nut of the African shea tree. Way more than just a creamy coating, this all-natural product helps restore lost moisture and protects the hair from harsh seasonal changes. We know you’re probably wondering how, and the answer is simple: once absorbed, shea butter coats the hair shaft to defend your strands from heat and any other damaging materials.

Avocado Oil:

Who ever said your favorite superfood couldn’t benefit your grooming routine? Avocado oil works to gently moisturize while treating damaged skin. Rich in antioxidants, fatty acids, biotin and more, this all-natural oil lubricates hair strands and prevents breakage while giving your mane the perfect shine for display.
