Whether you want to believe it or not, your beard says a lot about you -- your style, your character, your taste level, etc. -- which means beard maintenance is even more essential. So the last thing we here at Trinity Hills want to see is you slip up. There’s no doubt that we aim to provide you with the best grooming products, but who would we be if we didn’t follow up with informing you on how to use said products in your everyday routine?
Let’s start with the basics: your beard needs moisture. And we’re not talking about the quick rinse you’ve mastered in the shower. There’s so much more to simply growing a beard -- which is why we’re here to help. Read on to find out how to incorporate the Moisturizing Shampoo Bar and Beard Oil into your beard grooming routine.
Washing your beard is as straightforward as it sounds. But if it’s not done properly, it can dry your beard out. While it’s normal to wash your face at least twice a day, your beard is a different story. Since our bodies naturally produce oils that keep the beard healthy and full, we recommend washing your beard at least twice a week, unless you spend a significant amount of time outside daily.
To start, take your Moisturizing Shampoo Bar in hand, and massage it into your palms to form some lather. Once you have a significant amount, use both hands to work the product into your beard. Take some time massaging it to ensure you cover your entire beard.
Once the soap is successfully applied, leave it on your facial hair for a few minutes to make sure it penetrates the skin underneath. Rinse your beard with water thoroughly after a few minutes and pat your hair dry. Keep away from scrubbing aggressively so you don’t damage or break any hairs.
Now that your pores are open, grab your beard oil and use the diffuser to dispense the needed amount of drops. Determining how much beard oil to use is based significantly on length and thickness. Here’s a general guide to keep you on track.
|Beardless - 1 month:
|10 drops and up
Keep in mind that the suggested amounts above are just a guide. Don’t be afraid to find the right amount for your beard through trial and error.
Once the beard oil is in your palm, use both hands to distribute it evenly. Be sure to get the beard oil deep into the roots of your beard by applying it across and with the hair grain.
Lastly, don’t forget to brush your palms along the sides of your beard as well as down the front. It might even be beneficial to bring your hand up through the bottom of the beard to successfully spread the oil out evenly.
